Handle#
The base of every live handle: id, type and name; equal when they name the same item in one session.
A live handle belongs to one Python workspace. Renames and normal committed edits preserve it. Deleting its target invalidates it permanently, even after Undo restores that ID. Reset/Stop, interpreter changes and project close end the workspace. Look up new handles in the new workspace.
Only the active invocation's main thread can make authoring calls. Background threads cannot edit. A project must be owned by one participating editor/headless writer; a loaded project does not require a visible editor. See running scripts.
